Raw feeding guide

The amount you feed your dog can vary based on their activity levels - Just like us, a more active dog will need more fuel than one that may have had a quiet day. Our raw dog food calculator is a rough starting point, but it's important to adjust portion sizes to maintain your dog's healthy weight.

How should I transition my dog to Raw Dog Food?

Replace 25% of their meal with Raw food and then increase this by 25% increments each day. So on day 4 their entire meal will be nutritious fresh raw food.

This is only suggested when transitioning away from dried food. There is no need for any sub standard hyper processed food in your dog’s diet after that.

Adult dogs do great with their daily portion split over breakfast and dinner, or in one dinnertime meal. Puppies need to be fed more frequently, 3-4 times a day depending on their age. Just keep meal times consistent to aid their digestion.

No. Ensure food is nicely defrosted so your dog can easily chew, swallow and absorb their nutritious meal,

In the unlikely event that this occurs, remove the food after about 20 minutes, refrigerate it, and offer it again at the next meal. If it occurs again, reduce portion sizes and see if appetite improves.

Your dog should maintain a healthy, steady weight and have good energy levels, firm poos, and a shiny coat. If they’re gaining or losing weight, simply adjust their portion sizes by 10–20% and monitor from there.
